ANZAC Launceston. Anzac Day has special a significance to me with my grand father having fought in Somme during the First World War, my father was in New Guinea during the Second World War and my son had ten years in the army with a tour to Afghanistan, Timor and the Solomons. I have very strong feelings and admiration for those who fought for this country and the freedom that we have enjoyed as a result. I hope all those lives are not forgotten and we always remember Anzac Day for what it is.
